Top Ten Tuesday-Movie Edition!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It’s a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

The following are my top 11 favorite movies based on books (In no particular order after the first listed):

The Hunt for Red October (However, I don’t care for the follow up movies of the series…Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, The Sum of All Fears, etc)

Robert Landon Series (Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, etc)
The Hunger Games (Whole Series)
Harry Potter (Whole Series)
The Perfect Storm
Field of Dreams (Corresponding book is Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella)
Percy Jackson (Whole Series, though they have only made 2 movies to date)

Silence of the Lambs (Though not the whole series.  Hannibal was good, but I didn’t care for Hannibal Rising and Red Dragon)

The Wizard of Oz
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory

The Green Mile

Must mention a favorite of my daughter’s: Divergent (Whole Series)
